Arranging Physiotherapy for a Relative?
Looking for physiotherapy for a parent, partner or relative? You are welcome to arrange the initial call on their behalf. With the patient’s agreement, family members and carers can be involved in home sessions and shown how to provide appropriate support between visits.
The patient’s consent and preferences always remain central to every decision.

Practical Questions, Answered
A few things people often want to know before getting in touch.
Can a relative arrange the appointment?
Yes. Family members often arrange the initial call on behalf of a parent, partner or relative. We will speak with the person receiving treatment (or their representative) to confirm what they would like.
Can a carer or family member be present?
Always. A carer or relative is welcome to attend every session, observe, and learn how to support exercises safely between visits.
What if I have limited mobility?
That is exactly who we visit. Treatment takes place in your own home, so there is no travel, no clinic transfer, and exercises are built around the furniture, stairs and spaces you use every day.
Do I need to provide any equipment?
No. Your physiotherapist brings all assessment and treatment equipment to every visit. We simply need a clear, well-lit space to work in.
Can you communicate with my consultant, GP or other clinicians?
Yes, with your consent. We can liaise with your GP, consultant or hospital team and share relevant updates so your rehabilitation fits within your wider care.
How quickly can treatment start?
Same-day or next-day appointments are often available, subject to capacity. After your free phone consultation we will agree a convenient time for your first home visit.
What does the first appointment cost?
Your first visit is £110 and lasts 60 minutes, including the assessment and first treatment. Follow-ups are £99 for 60 minutes, and a package of five visits is £450. Online video consultations are £45 for 30 minutes. Travel is included, and you pay after your appointment by card, bank transfer or cash.
Home Falls Prevention Physiotherapy: Treatment & Rehabilitation
Understanding Falls Risk
Falls are the most common cause of injury and hospital admission in older adults in the United Kingdom. One in three adults over 65 falls at least once a year, and the consequences can be devastating — broken bones, head injuries, loss of confidence, and a downward spiral of inactivity and further weakness.
The good news is that falls are not an inevitable part of ageing. Evidence shows that a targeted falls prevention programme can reduce fall risk by up to 40 per cent.
Comprehensive Home Assessment
Our falls prevention programme begins with a thorough assessment in your home. This includes evaluation of your balance, strength, walking pattern, vision, footwear, medication review, and a detailed assessment of your home environment for trip hazards and risks.
This comprehensive approach ensures we address all the factors that contribute to your fall risk — not just the physical ones.
Building Strength and Balance
The core of our falls prevention programme is a progressive exercise plan designed to improve your strength, balance, and confidence. Exercises are prescribed at the right level for you and gradually increased as you improve.
Typical exercises include sit-to-stand practice, heel raises and toe raises, tandem walking, single-leg balance, step-ups, and functional reaching tasks. All exercises can be performed safely at home with minimal equipment.
Regaining Confidence
Fear of falling can be as debilitating as an actual fall. Many patients reduce their activity levels after a fall or near-miss, which paradoxically increases their risk of future falls through deconditioning.
Our physiotherapists work sensitively to rebuild confidence, gradually increasing the challenge of exercises and activities as your strength and balance improve. The aim is to help you feel safe, steady, and confident in your own home.
